Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses.

The book of Exodus is about the Israelites being able to leave the land of Egypt. Even though they were able to leave Egypt, Egypt wouldn't leave them.

When God allowed hardships to come into the lives of the Israelites, instead of having faith in the one who delivered them from slavery in Egypt, they were ready to return to slavery. Slavery looked better to them than freedom.

Don't think they were crazy to want to return to slavery when God had set them free. After almost 2500 years we haven't changed much. If you have come to accept Jesus as your savior, like the Israelites, you have been set free from the bondage that the sin of the world had you enslaved in. When hardship comes into your life, trust the one that set you free. Don't desire to return to the life that held you bondage. He is with you.in

If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

John 8:36
