Have you stopped going to church because your friend stopped going?
Does worshipping and serving God seem not as important now that your wife or husband has stopped?
Did the one who introduced you to Christ seem to disappoint you?
Idol: anything we worship or treat as more important than God
Worship: to serve, to treat as special, to give honor to
In the first verse of this chapter the Israelites call Moses "the man who brought us out of Egypt."
It was God who brought them out.
They wanted an idol that they could make to replace God who had freed them from slavery in Egypt.
The person that helped you escape from your slavery to sin, was God's servant.
Men will let you down.
God won't.
Don't let idols move you from your faith. Trust in the true God.
God gave so much so that you could be free.
