Genesis Chapter 1
“If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.”

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.” ― Albert Einstein
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
What do you see when you look at the wonders of this world?
Do you have the faith to believe God created all?
Some people have trouble believing God spoke everything into existence.

In this first verse, we find that God created time, space, and matter. Nothing existed before God created. This is so amazing. Before God created there was not even time. God is not bound by time. As hard as it is to believe (I know I have a hard time with it!) God is as much alive now, in the past, and the in future as we are in the present.
This chapter shows the majesty, strength, greatness, and power of God. We can think of these words and think we have an idea of what God is like. But we can't begin to understand. His majesty, strength, greatness, and power have no bounds. They are infinite. This is where we falter. We can think we know these attributes but we as humans set boundaries.
At times I wonder why God used just this chapter and a small part of chapter 2 to tell of his creating everything. Have you noticed it takes a couple of paragraphs for companies to tell us how to open their packaging or wash our clothes? But I don't think He expects me to build another universe. I think we are to believe He built everything by faith in Him. And what better place to start than with faith in Him.
Ever ask why did God create everything He has created? The sun rises, the sun sets, stars, the mountains, the rivers, flowers, wild creatures, all the beauties of life that God created. I wonder if it is because of you. God loves you more than you can imagine. God knows more about beauty than we can ever imagine. He created it. And he has given beauty to all His children. It doesn't matter how wealthy you are or how poor, He has given you, His child, beauty that cannot be bought. Because you are loved more than you can imagine. And because he loves us and has created such great wonders, he deserves our praise, honor and worship. Let us glorify the majesty of God.
As we see these wonders of beauty, don't fall into the trap of worshiping the created instead of the creator. In many places, the Bible describes the beauty of the Lord. (Psalms 27:4, Isaiah 33:17, Ecclesiastes 1:25-28, Revelation 4:2-3).The earthly beauty you see reflects the beauty of the creator.
Think of it as looking at a beautiful painting. Most of the time we marvel at this masterpiece. But if we look closely and study it, the masterpiece tells of a master that created it. We too have a master that has created the beauty of the world. He is the one to be worshiped.
