We've all heard them. Mother in law jokes. We take them for granted. But do you think maybe Satan started them to kind of rub it into God?

Hosea shows us what is happening. 

God is the father of Jesus. No doubt about it.

The church is the bride of Christ. No question.

This makes God the father in law of the church.

In Hosea, God shows the relationship of Israel to himself. It is as His bride. 

This would make Israel the mother in law of the church. 

And how many times have we joked about Israel?
