The next time you turn on the tv or radio notice how many times someone takes the Lord's name and abuses it. Notice the number of times something is said or something is talked about that brings shame to the God of the universe.
You will have to listen because you have grown to accept it.You have heard it often and the spirit that we war against has a foothold in you.
And don't get mad at the people you are listening to. They are just pawns. Used by the forces of the evil one.
This war cannot be won by human effort. By faith, we have to receive everything from our Lord.
We will not make it through this war in the flesh. Not by our own ability. You will not make it through in your natural ability. It must be a supernatural ability given by God. Your strength will be given by God, your thouhgts will be of God, the power will be of God.
Prepare for Battle
The enemy won't easily give up the place that he's had. You will have to do battle against his lies and confusion. Ask God to give you discernment about the lies of the devil.
Think About What You're Thinking About
As you recognize a thought that is a lie, always defend. Your weapon is the Word of God. As you read it you'll regain your peace.
Stand Firm—You're Not Alone
Things may seem to get worse before they get better.You are in a battle that all of God's children fight. Make up your mind not to give up! Set your mind on things above and keep it set! As you begin this battle, things may seem to get worse before they get better. Call upon God's grace in the name of Jesus, and He will give you the power of the Holy Spirit to completely overcome every evil tendency.
Don't Give Up!
When you hear a lie going through your mind, say to Satan:
"He who lives in me is greater than he who is in the world. I command you to bow your knee to the name of Jesus and leave me."
