2 corinthian 5:17-21

Science has found out that the reason time seems to go faster as you get older is because of your memory of it, not your actual experience. Age is not what causes you to feel as if time is moving at a  faster pace, but rather it is the frequency of your new experiences. For example, a 60-year-old and a 5-year-old go on a walk.

To the 5- year-old the walk will seem much longer than the 60-year-old.

Why?

The adult has been on the walk many times and the things he’s seeing are not new or impressive to him.

But the child has never been on the walk, nor has he ever been to its destination.

If you want your life to slow down, you have to slow down and experience it rather than hurrying through it.

How?

You can slow down the pace of your existence by simply having more new experiences. Try talking to someone you've never talked to or maybe wouldn't talk to before, or taking a walk somewhere you’re unfamiliar with or something as simple as eating something you've never tried before.

I understand that this is really really hard to do.

And in our own power, it can be almost impossible.

But when we accept Jesus our Lord and Savior and allow the Holy Spirit to come into our life, we become new. We become as the child and see things in a new light.

Don’t be a person who misses out on new experiences because you’re in a hurry to get to where you’ve already been. Live life slowly and on purpose. Follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

You are a new creation!!!
